LoveLight Haven first opened its arms in 2020 in the Mount Shasta area. Our founder Ramalee wanted to start a social services nonprofit organization to support and inspire her community during Covid. Her work continues.
Ramalee has a Master’s Degree in Clinical-Community Psychology and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). She has been a therapist for over 20 years. She has a special interest in supporting children and families and in domestic violence issues.
Her focus on children initially stemmed from her own experiences of abuse as a child, and not having anyone to talk with about it, as she suffered in scared silence. Through successfully processing her abuse as an adult, she strives to help children who are in that cycle or have survived it. She knows one can flourish regardless of what we have experienced as a child, when we can receive support.
Her interest in domestic violence began from personal experience and gaining skills to cope. So, she knows firsthand that it can work and one can learn to thrive. Her passion and commitment continue to this day.
Through her extensive graduate level training and learning specific trauma focused techniques, Ramalee has acquired a broad trauma toolkit.
She lives in South Siskiyou County with her daughter. Personal passions include yoga, animals, creating art and playing outside.
Her spirituality is a guiding light in all that she does
LoveLight Haven is a non-profit supportive haven for community. Our goal is helping people find peace within themselves and harmony with others, providing emotional, spiritual, and healthful resources.
